Annual Earth Day Contest

Event Graphics 2023 (1).png
2023 Visual Arts Contest

This year, DC EcoWomen is trying something new with our annual Earth Day Photo Contest. Instead of limiting the contest to photo submissions, we are seeking your best visual artwork.

Do you have beautiful photos, paintings, or drawings you’d like to share with the DC EcoWomen community and the world? In celebration of Earth Day 2023, we’re kicking off our annual contest and we’re hoping to hear from YOU!

Why You Should Enter

Send us images of your artwork for a chance to win prizes and recognition within our member community and on the web.  Prizes will include gift certificates from local businesses.

Themes
  • Women: We want to see your graphics of women exploring the natural (and urban) environment.  These can include volunteer events, nature hikes, apple picking, farmer’s markets, etc.

  • Environmental Issues: Have you captured a beautiful scene of the environment, or conversely, an impactful scene of environmental degradation or injustices? Sometimes pictures are worth a thousand words – send us artwork that could motivate eco-friendly behavior.

  • Visualizing D.C.: This city is our home – help us showcase all of the fun and interesting things that we do in this iconic area. Artwork from Maryland and Virginia are also encouraged.
